Subject Librarians are information specialists able to help the Vanderbilt community with customized research. Research guides to help you get started are available 24/7.

Our collections of premium and unique materials are one of the library’s greatest assets. Search for new titles and Recent Additions to the collections, search in our databases, use our catalog and discovery services, or locate online journals. Explore our special collections and see some of our most unique items with our physical and online exhibits. As part of the Federal Depository Library Program, the Government Information and Media Services (GIMS) department houses a large collection of U.S. Government documents. The Emmy award winning Television News Archive is the most extensive and complete collections of its kind.

Log into My Account to renew materials or request faculty delivery. When we don’t own a book or journal article, use our Interlibrary Loan services. Help build our collections, with your purchase suggestions.

Find space for quiet study, reserve a carrel or study room for group meetings. The library has room rentals for receptions, events, conferences, speakers, workshops and symposia.

The libraries provide access to technology and opportunities to increase technological skills to enhance research, teaching and learning. Our programs for Digital Scholarship, and Scholarly Communications including the University Repository, are intended to both strengthen the university’s research productivity and access to knowledge.

Students have opportunities for immersive experiences through our Library Fellows program. Be sure to learn about all our student services.
