Vanderbilt University Archives
Welcome to the Vanderbilt University Archives!
The mission of the University Archives is to preserve the historical memory of the university and to make this information available, primarily, to the Vanderbilt community and, secondarily, to the world at large. This is achieved through the collection and preservation of historical Vanderbilt university records and artifacts.
The University Archives is part of the Special Collections and University Archives library. Our offices are located on the second floor of the Central Library building at the corner of 21st Avenue South and Scarritt Place. The University Archives are physically located at an off-site storage facility. The archives has approximately 12,000 linear feet of university records stored in the building. These archives range in time from the founding of the university to near the present day.
