Hours for Peabody Library, and all other locations in the Vanderbilt Libraries can be found here. Note that some University holidays or other factors may affect building access. Currently, you will need to bring your Vanderbilt ID to swipe in.
Quiet study spaces are available in Peabody Library. Due to current capacity requirements and physical distancing, Peabody Library study spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
When visiting Peabody Library, please adhere to all university guidelines for physical distancing and safety, including wearing a mask at all times. More information can be found on the VU Health and Safety Protocols website.
Book & Library Materials Checkout
Books can be checked out from the Peabody stacks, Youth collection, and Curriculum Materials Center. Download the checkout@VandyLibraries mobile app (Google Play/Apple) and use our contactless checkout via your mobile device. Alternatively, you can use the iPad kiosk at the service desk for self-checkout. Instructions will be posted in the library.
Note: Curriculum material kits (items with multiple pieces) will need to be checked out remotely; follow instructions on signs posted in the Curriculum Materials Center. Tests will continue to be available by request only.
