Walker Management Library Access FAQ

Can I study in the Library?

The 1st floor main reading room is currently configured as a classroom. Classes are in session Monday-Thursday 8:00am-6:00pm. Quiet study is available to Owen students when classes are not in session on a first come, first served basis.

The 2nd floor will remain available as study space - first come, first served.

Will study rooms be open?

Yes! Owen Students may reserve team rooms up to 72 hours in advance. This website has instructions for how to reserve these study spaces.

Can the Conference Room be Reserved?

The Conference Room has a capacity of 12 and may be requested by Owen faculty and staff.

Are book stacks available for browsing and can books be checked out?

Book stacks will be accessible to Owen students, faculty and staff. Materials can be borrowed via self-checkout service using the Checkout@VandyLibraries app available in the Android and iOS app stores.

Are physical reserve materials available?

Yes! Students can borrow textbooks from the library service desk for 2 hours at a time. Students can also borrow a variety of equipment- including headphones, calculators, umbrellas, and more.

What can I access on the computer terminals?

Most databases are available remotely through the library website, however there are 10 terminals in the library for students to access Bloomberg. FactSet is also available on the Bloomberg terminals.

When can I use the Print Center?

Two copy/print machines (PRISM) and (SPECTRUM) will be available for Owen student use. The printroom is available to the Owen community 24/7.

Will there be a security guard?

There is no security guard scheduled for the building.

How can I consult with a Librarian?

Librarians will be available in the library Monday-Friday from 10am-5pm. The librarian suite is office 163- across from the computer terminals. Students can also email us to make an appointment: managementlibrary@vanderbilt.edu
