The library is a life-long benefit to all Vanderbilt alumni. We are delighted to have you visit virtually or in person!
Library benefits for Vanderbilt alumni include:
- Access to a select group of specially licensed digital resources and databases
- Borrowing privileges at all campus libraries
- Expert assistance by professional librarians
Digital Resources and Databases
When on campus, alumni may access most of the library’s electronic resources which are available in the campus libraries. The library also offers off-campus access to a select group of specially licensed alumni databases . For off-campus access, alumni will need a current VUNetID which must be renewed every 12 months. To obtain or reset a VUNetID, submit a request via the link Ask a Librarian with your full name, school name and the year of graduation.
Borrowing Card
All Vanderbilt graduates are encouraged to borrow print books from the library free of charge. The Commodore Card provides print borrowing privileges to all Vanderbilt libraries. To obtain a card after graduation, please visit Vanderbilt’s Card Services office.
