Prepare to Practice
What is Prepare to Practice? How is this program different law school classes or services offered at Career Services?
Past sessions have focused on ethics, professionalism, research and legal technology. During the week, attorneys and other legal professionals offer presentations about their own experiences, what they wish they had known as new attorneys, and tips about how to avoid making avoidable mistakes. Students can also take advantage of supplemental vendor training and advanced research help by law librarians.
Prepare to Practice exists to give students access to the professional world before they step into it. Every year, a new theme will be presented and fresh topics will be offered. As trends change and technology develops, the law library will provide programming that will give our students insight that would not otherwise be provided in the law school experience.
