Annual support through the Heard Library General Fund enables the library system to grow its print and digital holdings, furthering its goal of generating and disseminating knowledge and advancing ideas through new scholarship. In addition, your annual gift supports the maintenance and improvement of the libraries. Donors who make gifts of $2,500 or more are recognized by the Heard Society.
Gifts-in-kind, or non-monetary donations such as books or digital collections, enrich the Heard Libraries by bolstering our holdings and enabling academic discovery. Before donating your gift-in-kind, please remember to have its value appraised so we may properly recognize your generosity. We are grateful to you for taking this extra step.

Naming opportunities allow you to create a permanent legacy at Vanderbilt by associating your name with the library, linking you to the place where learning and research merge together with the core missions of Vanderbilt. With the recent renovations to Central Library and Special Collections, many naming opportunities currently exist. If you are interested in learning more about these spaces, please contact the Development Office, at (615) 843-3118, for more information.
