About the Project
In this fellowship, fellows worked with mentors from the English Language Center (ELC) to lead an exciting initiative to transform the ELC’s internal resource catalog into a modern, accessible, and sustainable digital inventory system. Fellows worked collaboratively to transform a static spreadsheet-based collection of instructional materials into a dynamic, open-source platform, thus enhancing the way instructors, staff, and students discover and engage with academic English resources. This new digital inventory will increase visibility, streamline access, and promote responsible management of instructional resources, all while aligning with open-source principles and best practices in digital scholarship. Fellows gained valuable experience at the intersection of technology, education, and information management, as well as develop practical skills in database and website design, user experience, and digital infrastructure, all within a supportive, collaborative environment.
