About the Project
This fellowship focused on student-led design and installation of photography created by students in the Department of Art. Under the mentorship of Art Librarian Stephanie Morgan and Professor Sarah Dunham, and with guidance from Professor Angus Galloway, fellows worked collaboratively to plan and execute an exhibition that highlightd work from ARTS 1200: Photography I: The Analog Moment and ARTS 1202: Photography in Digital Culture. Each fellow was responsible for curating a distinct section of the 7th Floor of the Central Library exhibit space. As a team, fellows collaboratively established an overall theme and curatorial approach, gaining hands-on experience in exhibition curation and art handling, and best practices in displaying artwork in public space. Fellows also participated in reflective discussions about the intersections of art, space, and community.

Project
Fellows collaborated to create an exhibit on the 7th floor of Vanderbilt’s Central Library, transforming a large and underutilized wall into a space that celebrates creativity and student expression. Pictures of the exhibit installation and mounting can be found here.
