Visitor Services @ Eskind
The Eskind Biomedical Library's mission is to support the research, education, and patient care goals of the Vanderbilt University Schools of Medicine and Nursing and the Vanderbilt University Medical Center faculty, staff, patients and their families. The library has full service hours during which library staff are available to provide assistance, and limited service hours which provide building access but limited individual support.
During limited service hours, entry and re-entry into the building will require a VU or VUMC badge.
Special or holiday library hours can be viewed at /hours.php.
There are nine libraries at Vanderbilt University with holdings to support research in a wide variety of subjects. Visitors are welcome to browse the open book stacks, to use a breadth of electronic journals and books, newspapers and periodicals, and to use government documents. The library's online catalog is freely available, but some digital resources are restricted to the Vanderbilt community.
