2016 Fall Library Fellows Project
Augmented Reality Sandbox
Description: With the maker-space movement in mind, this project will build an augmented reality sandbox by hacking together multiple technologies. This link shows an example sandbox. The Fellow will work with the GIS Coordinator and the Earth and Environmental Science and Civil and Environmental Engineering science librarian to create a sandbox using methodology outlined by UC Davis (http://idav.ucdavis.edu/~okreylos/ResDev/SARndbox/). The completed project will teach coding and project management skills and build on environmental science principles. The sandbox will be displayed in the Wond’ry and at other locations around campus.

Skills Needed or To Be Developed: Basic understanding of 3D technology and programming.
