The Evolution of the Peabody Esplanade
About the Project
This project involved GIS analysis of historic aerial photographs, measurement of the location and size of existing trees, and creation of a permanent tree database. At the conclusion of the project, we planned for the results to be used to create an exhibit to help celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Peabody Library, as well as recognition of the trees on the Esplanade that have been determined to be over 100 years old.
About the Fellows
Working as a team, undergraduates Cole Sullivan, Alice Chen, Robin Young, Varsha Nair, Summer Rucker, and Shrey Derasari created an exhibition that celebrates The Evolution of the Peabody Esplanade.
