1942 Summer Program


Summer 1942 Program, School of Engineering, Vanderbilt University. The war effort compelled a number of universities to expand their course offerings to support the training needs of the War Department. Summer 1942 was the first time in Vanderbilt University history that the school offered a complete curriculum during the summer months.

1944 Tower


With much of the student body away at war, the University could not afford to publish an issue of the Commodore. A group of students banded together, however, and managed to produce a smaller version of the publication called "The Tower."
