Pieces of the Past: Highlights from Vanderbilt's Athletic History

Gator Bowl Tickets 1955 The Vanderbilt football team made its first bowl appearance in 1955 at the 11th Annual Gator Bowl. Played in Jacksonville, Florida on December 31st, the Commodores defeated Auburn University by a score of 25 - 13.
