Getting to the Library

The library is located in downtown Nashville at the corner of 21st Avenue South and Scarritt Place. For general directions on reaching the Vanderbilt campus from Nashville's major freeways, visit VU's Vicinity Map. If you need detailed driving directions, try visiting Mapquest.com, Google Maps, or call Special Collections at 615-322-2807 for assistance.

Special Collections is located on the second floor of the General Library Building at 419 21st Avenue South. One of our public entrances is on the 2nd foor terrace overlooking 21st Avenue South, across the street from the CVS Pharmacy at the corner of 21st Avenue South and Scarritt Place. There is also an entrance in the breezeway between the old and new sections of the library building.

Where to Park

Public parking is available across the street at the Wesley Place Parking Garage on Scarritt Place. There are also a limited number of metered parking places next to the General Library Building. Vanderbilt's Vicinity Map includes written directions to public parking areas on campus.
