What is Acorn?
Acorn is the joint library catalog of the Vanderbilt University Libraries. Use Acorn to identify the books, periodical titles (but not individual articles), government documents, scores, sound recordings, and volume holdings of the ten divisional libraries that comprise Vanderbilt's Jean and Alexander Heard Library. The holdings of campus centers, such as the Women's Center and The Center for Teaching, are also included in Acorn.
Acorn offers the ability to search the database for a word or combination of words (keyword) as well as two options for looking up items in alphabetical indexes of authors, titles, subject headings and series (Begins with and Browse).
