Entering a Reservation for the Group Study Room Calendar

 

Reservations for both the Central Group Study Room on the 6th floor (room 612C) may be made by any student or group of students for up to a two-hour block of time.  The room has a table that seats 6-8 and a dry erase board. 

 

The room is not locked, but a calendar is posted on the door each day listing the reservations.  If a student wants to use the room THAT day, they simply need to go upstairs and write in his/her name on the sign-in sheet. 

 

The following instructions apply to reservations at least one day in the future.

 

 

TO VIEW THE CLASSROOM CALENDAR & ENTER RESERVATION:

 

1.      Locate the “Room Schedule” link on the left hand column of the Staffweb site. 

 

2.      Scroll down and click on “Calendar Administration.” At the Calendar Administration Login screen enter our username and password. Both are posted on the front/circulation computer in the GI/MS office.  Note: both the username and password are case sensitive.

 

3.      Select “Central Group Study Room, GLB 612C” and press “Continue.”

 

4.      On the main menu you can click on “View Calendar” to check the calendar.  Click on “Add Event” to add something.

 

5.      Put the in the first and last name of the student.

 

6.      Click “Save and Continue.”

 

7.      Enter the start time and end time, and the date.  Note that you must specify “a.m.” or “p.m.”  Also be sure to put the date down as mm/dd/yyyy format (i.e. 12/08/2004 for “December 8, 2004”).

 

8.      Click “Save.”

 

9.      On the menu at the top of the screen, select “View Calendar” to check and make sure the event has been added.

 

10.  The menu also contains an “Edit/Delete” function to modify the calendar if you have made a mistake.  It will show each event for the month with edit and delete options for each.
