Minolta microfilm* BT6000P
(Small, tubular box)
**This machine’s cartridge should only be changed by a
staff member. Glenn Waters is the contact person for
this machine.
If copies have light streaks running
through them, try darkening the intensity.
If the copies still have light streaks, the machine is probably low on
toner.
To change a printer toner cartridge:
1. Select the appropriate cartridge from the cartridge
cabinet using the chart above.
2. Remove the cartridge from its box and wrapper.
3. Pull out the tab and strip on the end of the cartridge
(if there is one) to activate it.
4. Open the top of the printer.
5. 5P/6P printers (printer #2 on the fourth floor and the
printer in the sixth-floor media room) have a small button on the right-hand
side that unlatches the top.
6. Rock the cartridge gently from side to side. This keeps the toner from settling.
7. Insert the cartridge.
8. Close the top of the printer and let the printer
reset.
9. Place the used cartridge in the new cartridge box and
mark it “USED”. These can be stored behind the reserve cabinet.
To change the Minolta microfilm
toner cartridge (6th floor, far left):
8. Place the used cartridge in the new cartridge box and
mark it “USED”. These can be stored behind the reserve cabinet.
