Directions around the General Library Building and Central Library During Summer Renovation

You will notice construction going on around the General Library Building this summer as we undertake various renovation projects. Access to the Central Library is through the door on the south end of the building by Library Lawn. The Divinity Library entrance is via the south end of the breezeway, which is on the 21st Avenue side of the building. Both temporary entrances have handicap access, with handicap parking available in the Frist Hall/Godchaux parking lot to the south of the General Library Building.

Over the summer, improvements to the 4th floor Central lobby and reference areas are taking place. In addition, work will be underway on a new enclosed exhibit space and entrance to the Divinity Library on the 2nd floor, including the addition of a new handicap access ramp on the north side of the building.

There are also signs and directional tape on the floor to help you make your way. If you have any questions, please ask at the reference desk near the main entrance, or at the Government Information/Media Services desk at the rear of the 4th floor.
