Digital Cameras

The Library has 4 Flip digital video cameras available for check out from the Library Service Desk. Two GorillaPod tripods are available for checkout as well.

The cameras and tripods will be loaned for a 5-day period and may be renewed one time.

The Flip cameras have built in USB plugs for connecting to your computer. When you plug a Flip camera in for the first time, it installs a small program that downloads the videos off the camera to your computer. You can use this program for minor editing, and to format videos to post online or burn to DVD. Plugging the Flip camera in to your computer also charges the batteries. The cameras will record approximately 2 hours of high definition video.

Note: Peabody students and faculty can also check out both Flip cameras and traditional digital film camcorders from the Peabody Technical Support Center.
