APA Citation Style:The American Psychological Association (APA) style governs the preparation of manuscripts. APA is the dominant style used in the social sciences and the one required here at Peabody.
This workshop will cover how to cite library resources as well as discussing the new changes made in 2007 by APA in regards to citing electronic scholarly journal articles using the DOI (digital object identifier) number. We will also go over how you develop APA parenthetical citations for your paper. One component of the workshop will be an exercise so that you can practice creating APA style citations. (If you have a copy of the APA manual, please bring it with you.) This is not a workshop on how to write your research paper.
Note: Attendance is limited to twenty people.

EndNote is a citation management software package useful for creating personal databases on specialized topics. It can be used to store references for course papers, theses, dissertations, and article or book manuscripts; easily add those references as citations and bibliographies to documents; and automatically reformat the citations and bibliographies based on the output style desired (APA, Chicago, etc.).
In this hands-on workshop, we shall provide a demonstration of the EndNote software and its basic features. The workshop is for those who have a very little or no experience in using EndNote. There are no prerequisites.
Note: Attendance is limited to eight people.
