Research Interests
Academic library leadership; the role of the library in higher education; organization of the literature of emerging and cross-disciplinary fields.
Brief Biography
Weiner received her M.L.S. from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1982. She is a doctoral candidate in the Higher Education Leadership program at Vanderbilt University.
Weiner assumed the position of Director of Peabody Library at Vanderbilt in 2002. She is Co-Chair of the Peabody Academic Library Leadership Institute and Co-Chair of the National Forum on Information Literacy. She is Chair of the Special Libraries Association Education Division and Past President of the Special Libraries Association Southern Appalachian Chapter. She has been the principal investigator for a number of grant-funded projects.
Honors
Weiner is a Distinguished Member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals. She received the State University of New York Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Librarianship in 1999.
