- Laptops may be checked out to any Vanderbilt faculty, student, or staff who has a valid Vanderbilt ID. A blocked user may not checkout a laptop.
- Only one laptop per user.
- Laptops may be used both inside and outside the library.
- Laptops are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and may not be reserved in advance.
- Loan period is eight hours. The laptop may not be renewed.
- Laptops can go out overnight if checked out after 6:00 p.m. If the library is closing before 7:00 p.m., overnight check out can begin one hour before closing time.
- Fines are $7.50 an hour and are non-refundable. If the laptop is not returned within 24 hours, the user will be billed the cost of a replacement.
- Laptops should be returned to a Peabody Library staff member. Do not leave the laptop unattended at the service desk.
