Establishing a Network Connection
If you are using the laptop wirelessly in the library, a network connection is established when you turn it on. If the laptop is not connecting to the Internet, try re-booting it. You can get more information on our FAQs and Troubleshooting page.
Power-Save Feature
If the MacBook is idle for a minute or so, it will go to sleep (the screen will go blank). Brushing the touchpad or pressing any key will take the MacBook out of power save mode.
Using the DVD/CD-RW Drive
There is a DVD/CD-RW drive on the right-hand side of the MacBook. Hold down the eject key 
for a second or two to open it.
