Software on the iBooks includes the following:

Icons for these programs are on the desktop. Double-clicking on any of them will launch the application. (Remember: If you mount your VUSpace, be sure to drag the User icon that represents your VUSpace account to the Trash when you are done so that anyone after you can't access your files.)

Please do not load personal software on the iBooks.

Library staff can provide assistance if you have difficulties with the iBook's software. We recommend, however, that you become familiar with the programs that you will be using.

Saving Word Processing Files

You can save your files to your VUspace (find out more about VUspace), e-mail the files to yourself, or burn them to a CD. Floppy disk drives are not available with the library's iBooks.

If you save your document to the iBook, it is best to drag it to the Trash before you return the iBook--otherwise, anyone using the iBook after you can easily read that document.

The library is not responsible for the loss of any of your files while you are using an iBook.

Printing from the iBooks

All print jobs from the iBooks will go to the printer in the Fireplace Reading Room on the first floor of the library. You will need to authorize each print job on the print release station across from the printer.
