Faculty Delivery Service
Most non-reference items from all Vanderbilt libraries can be delivered to the Blair office or the faculty member’s desired departmental office by using Vanderbilt’s Faculty Delivery Service. Delivery of materials is generally within two working days of the request. Faculty delivery is also available for faculty surrogates (teaching assistants). Surrogates can register for Faculty delivery privileges here.
Course Reserves
This page contains instructions, guidelines, and forms for having materials placed on reserve for a course.
All Blair undergraduates participate in an information literacy program that is integrated within the core music history sequence. The Education and Outreach Librarian teaches sessions devoted to music research skills in MUSL 141, 242, 243, and 244. Students complete assignments that are directly related to the projects that they are working on in their music history and literature courses, learning skills that are necessary not only for success at Blair, but for their careers after college. The Education and Outreach Librarian is also available to teach sessions that are catered specifically to the needs of your students, including sessions on library resources for instrumentalists and vocalists. Call the Music Library at (615)322-7695 to request a session.
