Internship Research Guidelines

During summer internships, you may want to access library databases to complete your work.  Most of the license agreements that we have with database vendors are restricted to academic use only. Please take a minute to look at the Walker Management Library Copyright & Licensing Restrictions.

A few suggestions on finding business information during your internship:

  • As an alternative to Walker Library databases, check to see if your company has a library, information or research center, or the like.
  • Sifting through the results of a Google search for accurate and relevant information can be time-consuming and risky; most of our topical Research Guides include valuable, but free, websites.

Although most library databases are restricted while you work for a company, you will still have remote access to most Walker Library databases over the summer if you are working on a class project or for academic credit.

The Walker Library staff will be here during the summer and will be happy to help you with your research, in locating information resources, and to answer questions. Please don't hesitate to contact us.
