Replacement of lost or stolen laptops
Laptops that are not returned, are subject to billing costs to replace the lost equipment, as is specified in the borrower's agreement. Those replacement costs will be based on current purchase price for an equivalent, if not identical model to that which was lost. The current (April 2005) replacement cost for laptops is $1,550. Prices will be updated every 6 months.
Replacement for lost components
When a laptop is returned with a component part missing that was present when checked out, patrons will be billed for the missing part(s). Prices for components (April 2005) are listed below.
