Search Tips
The search presented performs a keyword search of
electronic journal or research database titles and descriptions.
You can simply type in a keyword or phrase and click the "Search"
button. The system will then display a list of
electronic journals or research databases whose titles contain that
keyword or words.
Common "stop" words such as "a","an","and","by","for","from","in","of","the",
and "to" will be skipped. When using
the search box, please do not use the Boolean operators (OR, NOT).
The Boolean operator (AND) is implied, therefore
there is no need to use it in your search.
You may use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard to tell the system
to search for words that begin with the stem you specify.
For example, use comput* to retrieve all titles or descriptions
that include the words computer, computers, and
computing, etc.
Puncuation marks, non-alpha characters (such as "&"
or "/") or diacritics in titles and/or descriptions will
be ignored by the search engine. If your search results in an error
please do not hesitate to report it to us.
Search Examples:
Search: journal chemistry - finds all
resources that have both of the words "journal" and "chemistry"
in the title or database description.
Search: journal comput* - finds all resources that have the
word "journal" and the words"comput*" as a word
stem.
Search: weider's muscle fitness - finds Joe Weider's Muscle
& Fitness
