| Census Information Center
This program was chosen by the US Census Bureau as a designated Census Information Center (CIC) to assist the federal government in the dissemination of Census 2000 data to under-served communities, including establishing partnerships with the international community, media, and nonprofit service providers in order to accomplish the goals set forth by the Census Bureau.
The center is located in Room 300 at the Peabody Library. The director of Vanderbilt's CIC is Brian Christens. You can send him a message or reach him by phone at 615-343-7542.
Science and Engineering Library Map Room
The Map Room has two Windows workstations with ArcGIS installed on them. In addition the library has various data sets available on CDROM. There are also a number of GIS books and manuals available for check out.
A&S Computer Labs
The Microcomputer Labs in Garland 119, SC2200, and Bransomb (Lupton 1010) have ArcView available on the Windows systems in the labs. Hours of operation in the A&S Labs can be found here: http://www.vanderbilt.edu/cas/computers
Department of Anthropology

There are several other academic departments and units on campus that utilize GIS technology including: departments in the School of Engineering, VIPPS, Economics, Campus Planning, and Plant Services.
