| Campus Wide ESRI License / Software Distribution
The Heard Library maintins an ESRI site license for the Vanderbilt campus. This means that everyone on campus can access powerful GIS software at little or no cost.
The license includes a 1 year timeout version of ArcView for students' personal computers and access to online training through the ESRI Virtual Campus. Professors can order software and/or training keycodes for their students or students can pick up their own copy at the Peabody Library, room 305. ArcView is available for install on all campus computers and the more powerful ArcInfo software is also available on a limited basis.

Training and Presentations
Hands on GIS software, GIS concepts, and Census Information training are available to students, faculty, and staff. Training and workshops are done on request for individuals or groups on a one time or repeating basis. In-class presentations for these subjects are also available.
ESRI online training courses are also available to students, faculty, and staff. Contact the GIS and Census Information Service Center for keycodes to access free training.

Global Positioning System Unit Circulation
The library circulates a Garmin GPSMap handheld GPS unit which is available for checkout from the Peabody Library. The unit is user friendly and great for hikes, GPS games, and a wide variety of research and data collection purposes. Check the GPS page for more info.
Printing
Large format printing is available for custom maps, posters, and anything else that might require large scale color printing. Prints from the plotter are available at up to 34 inches wide for $10 per linear foot. Files to be printed must be delivered to Peabody Library staff in their final digital format. Lamination is also available at 30 cents per foot, no wider than 24 inches. All printing and lamination projects must be submitted 24 hours in advance, Monday through Friday.
Map Production
The Census and GIS Service will produce maps for users. Custom maps can be delivered in a variety of formats including print, jpeg images, and pdf's. This service is offered at a minimal fee to faculty and staff based on the requirements for the map.
