If you enjoy literary and musical evenings with notable thinkers, fascinating exhibits, cultural and political discussions and access to world-class resources, then we need to be friends! Your donations, large or small, help fund special acquisitions, student internships, research projects, digital initiatives, library publishing, and archival access. The Friends also sponsor lively programming that brings the campus and the community together. In all these ways and more, the Friends engage and inspire the Vanderbilt and Nashville communities.

We hope you’ll join the hundreds of students, faculty, alumni, and community members whose contributions make all this possible.

As a Friend, you receive:

  • Invitations to lectures, workshops, tours and special library events
  • Primary Source, an e-newsletter published five times per year that highlights Library happenings
  • Recognition in our published donor list
  • Opportunities for special tours and presentations
  • Friends of Vanderbilt's Libraries
  • Delight in making a difference to the life of the mind in Nashville and beyond
