Understanding the Sick and the Healthy
Understanding the Sick and the Healthy is an attack
on German Idealist philosophy. The follower of Idealist philosophy is presented
as a paralytic patient who is cured by "New Thinking." Idealist philosophy,
in the opinion of FR, is more than just philosophical error, it is the sickness
of the whole person. "Common sense," on the other hand, is an expression
of the health of the whole person. According to German Idealist philosophy,
the whole world is reduced to the perceiving self and must, therefore, be distinguished
from what it appears. The "New Thinking" of common sense traces experience
back to the world and back to the experience of God. The true subjects of philosophy
are the World, God, and Man.
