Workstation Computers

Patrons who need computers with applications software should go to the Computer Room.

Patrons who need computers for research will find their needs best met by the Computers in Central Reference.

The computers in the stacks (levels 5, 6, 7, 8) and Periodicals are intended for quick Acorn catalog searches only. For extended research or accessing email, library databases, or other internet sites, please use the computers mentioned above.

When using library computers please save your personal information or data externally. Examples include a diskette (A:\ drive), VUSpace, USB Memory Key ("thumb drives") but not the workstation hard drive (C:\). All your information on the hard drive will be lost if the workstation freezes and has to be restarted.

Please keep in mind that first priority on all workstations is given to academic use. During busy times please be considerate of others who may need to use our workstations. Please restrict recreational or casual use of the workstations to less busy times when workstations are not needed for academic work.
