Isabelle is the Sigaux Project Coordinator. She manages the details of scanning, indexing, and preserving the approximately 75,000 items from the G.S. Project. She also supervises the work of the student assistants and serves as liaison with the Library Technology Team. Isabelle received her B.A. in Anthropology and Fine Arts from Vanderbilt University in 1991. Although a Nashville native, she has spoken French all of her life. She brings to the project her knowledge of French culture and language, familiarity with computers, library and supervisory experience, and adaptability. Most recently she worked at the Annette and Irwin Eskind Biomedical Library as the Evening Supervisor and Health Information Analyst.

Daniel is an undergraduate student at Vanderbilt University with an interest in pursuing a career in law. He is planning to major in French and European Studies with a minor in Judaic Studies. He comes to the project with six years of French language studies already behind him, an interest in theatre, as well as advanced computer skills. Originating from Israel, Daniel is trilingual in Hebrew, English, and French. The fact that his previous employment was in a candy store in no way affected our decision to have Daniel join the team.
Summer Assistant to the Sigaux Project, May '00
John is a senior at Vanderbilt University. He is working toward a double major
in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science.
He brings to the Project his familiarity with computers and written French.
John is the Vice-Chairman of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
and an active member of the Vanderbilt Swing Club. In addition to working on
the Sigaux Project John is currently working on a project in the Physics Department.
After graduation John plans to continue his studies with the goal of earning
an MBA.
Student Assistant to the Sigaux Project
Sebastien is also a special non-degree student in Biomedical Engineering. He
is in the same graduate program at the Institut Catholique d'Arts et Métiers
in Lille, France and, like Vincent, is a French native. In addition to his familiarity
with the French language, Sebastien brings his knowledge of computers and scanning
to the Sigaux Project.
Andrea is a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University, where she was awarded a B.A. in French. During her undergraduate career she worked in the Department of French and Italian. In addition to her language skills, she brings to the project her familiarity with the Vanderbilt library system, computers, the world-wide web, and a strong commitment to learning new skills. Originating from Peru, Andrea is trilingual in Spanish, English, and French. She is currently investigating the job market in Chicago, New York, and Washington D.C..
Alexandria is a second year undergraduate at Vanderbilt. Her interest in the French language and culture extends to all areas of her campus life from living on the French hall in the McTyeire International Dorm to working on the Sigaux Project. She brings to the project a knowledge of computers, French language skills, and an eagerness to learn new skills. Alexandria will be spending the '99/'00 academic year attending the Vanderbilt-in-France Program in Aix-en-Provence.
Shabnam is a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University. With a B.A. in French and European Studies, she brings to the project her love of French language and culture as well as her experiences with the Vanderbilt libraries, computers, and the world-wide web. As an added bonus, one of her final courses here offered her an introduction to French theatre. Shabnam will spend the 1998-99 academic year in Spain. In the Fall ('98) she will be enrolled in an intensive spanish-language school in Madrid. Begining in January ('99) Shabnam will work towards a Master of Arts in Peace and Development Studies in Castellón, Spain . Upon her return to the U.S., she plans to attend law school.
Rachel is a third-year undergraduate at Vanderbilt University. Specializing in Language and Communication Studies, she brings to the project her skills in the French language, her library experience, and her computing and web authoring skills. She plans to continue in the field of Information Sciences and/or Services after graduation from Vanderbilt in May 1999. Currently, Rachel is also a Help Desk Analyst at the Academic Computing and Information Service's student-run Help Desk at Vanderbilt University. She provides leadership there in her role as Technical Team Co-Leader.
