Ensuring Library Resources are Available for Classes
Here are some suggestions that can help ensure students will find the resources they need to complete their assignments:
- Check Acorn, the library catalog, or consult with a subject librarian to make sure the resources you have used in the past are still available.
- If you are using an online resource for your class, check to make sure the interface is still what you are familiar with. Adjust any instructions
for students in your assignments accordingly.
- Submit library purchase requests for course related materials as early as possible.
- Consider placing a book, article or other print material on reserve, especially if more than one student will want to use it.
Remember!
No Library has in-depth collections on every topic. Consider contacting a subject librarian when developing an assignment to determine if the library
has the resources students need to complete it successfully.
