Central Library Desktop Computer Locations

Main Computer Suite
A suite of PCs and Apple desktops is located behind the main lobby, just to the left of the pillars next to the walkway leading back from the main service desk. These computers allow access to standard word-processing software applications and are connected to printers that use the VUPrint system. Patrons needing assistance with printing from these computers should ask for help at the main service desk.
6th Floor Computer Room
There is also a computer room on the 6th floor, between the main elevators and the Payne Room Study Space.This room contains ten computer terminals and two printers. The terminals allow access to some applications software (including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and internet browsers.
Printers in the Computer Room are linked to the VUPrint system. Patrons needing assistance with printing from this location should ask for help from the Government Information/Media Services desk on the 4th floor.

If you need detailed assistance with PC or Mac software applications, please consider going to the Garland Computer Lab, where staff are available to help. Central Library staff cannot provide detailed technical support.
