Central Library is open to members of the public and the local community from opening time through 7:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from opening time through 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Be aware that library opening times vary depending on the academic calendar. Check the Central Library hours page or the main library hours page for further details.

Vanderbilt Commodore cards are generally required for library access and use. These cards are issued by the Commodore Card Office. For the Vanderbilt community, these cards are issued automatically for a variety of uses on campus, and can be applied for directly. For those not directly affiliated with the University, the Library authorizes Commodore Card issuance where the intent is to use the card for library access and/or borrowing.
