DIRECTIONS:

Connect to the ScienceDirect database through the library Web site.

Find the article that you would like to link to and click on the title of the article. The DOI will be listed at the top of the entry. Highlight the DOI and copy it by right clicking and selecting "Copy".

Add the following prefix at the beginning of the article link to make sure students will be able to access the article:

http://proxy.library.vanderbilt.edu/login?url=http://dx.doi.org/

A final URL for the article example above would look like this (make sure there are no spaces in the URL):

http://proxy.library.vanderbilt.edu/login?url=http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/B0-08-043076-7/00205-9
