DIRECTIONS

1. Connect to one of the ProQuest databases through the library Web site.
    
2. Click on the title of the article you want to link to. The article's permanent link will be given in the 'Document URL' field, e.g.
   http://proquest.umi.com/pqdweb?did=853976761&sid=2&Fmt=3&clientId=2335&RQT=309&VName=PQD
    
3. Add the following prefix at the beginning of the Document URL to make sure students will be able to access the article from off campus:

http://proxy.library.vanderbilt.edu/login?url=

4. A final URL for the article example above would look like this (make sure there are no spaces in the URL):
