DIRECTIONS

1. Connect to the ACM Digital Library through the library Web site.

2. Find the article for which you want to create a link and click on the title of the article to display its database record.
   

3. To verify that you can create a persistent link to this article, look for the DOI Bookmark below the article citation.
   

4. Add the following prefix at the beginning of the article link to make sure students will be able to access the article:

http://proxy.library.vanderbilt.edu/login?url=

5. A final URL for the article example above would look like this:

   http://proxy.library.vanderbilt.edu/login?url=http://doi.acm.org/10.1145/1005813.1005815
