Historical or Biographical Note

Stellar Rudolph Light was a 1904 graduate of the University of Michigan School of Medicine. He served as the Upjohn Company's vice president, a company founded by his wife Winifred's father, William Erastus Upjohn. Light was also the father of Rudolph A. Light, a Vanderbilt graduate, educator, and philanthropist.
