Historical or Biographical Note

Nancy J. Leith, Ph.D., received her doctoral degree in biopsychology from the University of Pittsburgh. She conducted a postdoctoral fellowship in the Psychobiology and Pharmacology Departments at Vanderbilt University and remained at Vanderbilt as an Assistant Professor of Psychology and Pharmacology through 1984. At the time of her death, Leith was President of NeuroAge, a consulting firm she founded in 1989 in Chicago that specialized in issues of neuroscience and aging.
