Historical or Biographical Note

L.M. Lanier, a native of Tennessee, graduated from Vanderbilt University Medical School in 1913. He served on the Vanderbilt clinical faculty from 1941 to 1945 as Assistant Clinical Professor in Radiology. Lanier practiced dermatology with Dr. James Moore King from 1916 until 1921, when he joined practice with Dr. C.C. McClure as a radiologist. A pioneer in radiology, Lanier later practiced his specialty privately with King and Dr. Ivie in Nashville until 1946.
