Historical or Biographical Note

Willam Gilliam Kennon, M.D., served on the Vanderbilt clinical faculty from 1925-1946 and from 1954-1989 as Professor of Clinical Otolaryngology. He served as an assistant and later associate professor of ophthalmology prior to that appointment. Kennon was named president of the Nashville Academy of Medicine in 1958 and was awarded the title of Professor of Otolaryngology Emeritus at Vanderbilt.
