Historical or Biographical Note

Dr. James M. Oliver (1888?-1941?) was a physician who received his M.D. from Vanderbilt in 1911. He was Superintendent of the Davidson County Tuberculosis Hospital from 1913-1916. Then he was a Captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps from 1917-1919. He had a private practice in Portland, Tennessee from 1919-1941.
