Historical or Biographical Note

Dr. Abram (1931-1977) was Professor of Psychiatry at VUSM. He was a nationally known expert on consultation and liaison psychiatry. Dr. Abram received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University,and received his M.D. from the University of Virginia. He arrived at Vanderbilt in 1970. Dr. Abram was also an expert on medical ethics.
