Historical or Biographical Note

Henry P. Pendergrass, M.D., M.P.H., joined the Vanderbilt faculty in 1976 as a member of the Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences. His major literature contributions include contrast media relations, radionuclide bone scanning, and relative efficacy of RN and CT studies. He has special interests in graduate and continuing medical education and in health care reform, and he has been involved with a national task force dealing with occupational diseases of the lung. Pendergrass was named professor emeritus in 1995, and an endowed chair has been created in his and his wife's honor.
