Historical or Biographical Note

Katherine Goodpasture received her B.A. degree from Vanderbilt University in 1932. Eight years later, she recevied a doctorate in bacteriology. She participated in research in the Department of Pathology at Vanderbilt School of Medicine and also taught at Vanderbilt's School of Nursing. Goodpasture, the wife of the esteemed Dr. Ernest Goodpasture, was also a master bird bander.
