Historical or Biographical Note

Amy Frances Brown was the first nursing school faculty member to hold the Ph.D. One of her most unique contributions to the School of Nursing was in the field of scientific writing. She offered a class and also published a book on scientific writing. Dr. Amy Frances Brown died in 1983.
